Welcome to “My Place”

I have always been blessed to live in the Missouri and Arkansas Ozarks. After teaching in small Ozark towns for 12 years, like a lot of my students, I wanted to be outside “trompin” the hills looking for a monster buck or “floatin” my favorite river trying to catch a big small mouth, but I needed more!

I wanted to “own” the land (we’re not really “owners” of the land, but merely temporary “stewards”) to enhance the beauty of it, protect it from too much civilization and to cultivate and manage it for the wildlife. I have owned several thousand acres of the Ozarks hills, and I have found that I got a lot of satisfaction turning ownership over to others so that they might enjoy the land as I have. I found my passion was introducing my land to others, especially those suffocated by the metropolitan areas. It was exciting to see their response to a big gobbler in “full strut” or a spotted fawn “peekin” through the weeds. I was hooked on the whole scene!

If money was no object I would still own all of these old “grown-up” Missouri and Arkansas hill farms that I loved so much, but money is an object so here I am! I now have 3 great farms that I am selling, as well as my residence in Branson, MO where I have lived for five years. I have done a lot of “horse tradin” over the years, so when these are gone there may be more.
